Well, Jon and I met at the Galleria, which as it turns out was closed for Easter Sunday (of course). However, we made our way two blocks over to Starbucks and had the Alternate LRPGSW Meetup there. I have to say it turned out well. We talked about our interests and history with RPGs and what we are looking for and decided that we should give it a go and arrange a game.

I had brought my laptop and so we had a chance to try out the Elthos RPG Internet Application to roll Jon up a Character, and put him in the Elthos world. The process of rolling, selecting race, class, skills, mystic powers, and equipment took about 15 minutes, including some jawboning about the Character's history and knowledge of the world. That's not too bad! So that was, despite a few relatively minor technical issues with my software, a pretty good test of the system, and it worked out well.

Since Jon is limited in terms of transportation and accessibility to various places due to his handicap we'll be meeting for the Elthos Game sessions at the Galleria. The good thing is that this is exactly the type of situation I created the Elthos ODS (One Die System) for... to be unobtrusive, and yet allow for maximum traditional RPG flavor and basic rules. I'm working on the campaign now, and as noted on the LRPGSW Calendar we will be meeting for the first play session on Saturday April 5, at 1pm, in the Galleria Food Court in front of the McDonalds. I'm thinking if we can get three people to start with that would be great, though one or two is also workable. More than six would be a bit too much I'd say. Please let me know in advance if you plan to make it.

The Elthos World, btw, is an Greco-Roman Celtic-Arthurian adventure world, in terms of setting. Ok, hope to see you there.
