Hail Fellow Gamers. As a reminder this is the first event of a new year [with some new leadership] so let's kick it off right and have as many people come and contribute ideas as possible. At this point I'm very open to suggestions I'm to new at this to have hard fast ideas about anything. And if there are games you know you want to run or you know you want to play bringing them up in person is the an easy way to get them on the schedule.

But besides that ..... at our meetups, there will be gaming...oh yes ... there will be gaming....

Since I didn't have much time since becoming AO to find an GM and a prepare a story, I nominated myself to run the first game. Since all 'yes''s have white-wolf and vampire in there profiles (and I'm a fan myself) the WOD will be our first system. I bought two modules off of RPG-Drive-Thru. I'm going to trim then down to one shots and I'll run which ever the crowd prefers....and the modules are...

1) The Ruins of Ur-
This is a Modern Day World of Darkness dungeon crawl that takes place in a battlefield in Iraq. Charachter's should be human with either academic (archeology) or military backgrounds.

2) The Reserrectionists-
This is a Modern Day Vampire game centered around the search for a particularly infamous missing vampire. The module itself is actually pretty sparse on details about city politics and the vampire you are searching for in order to leave the module adaptable to ongoing campaigns. I'm going to make the setting local and try to give a decided Austin feel to the vampire society and vampire politics around the game. The module has room for politics and a fair amount of puzzle solving but still enough combat that that could take an entire session if thats where you wanted to go with it.

If your familiar with the new WOD system feel free to bring pre-prepared characters. They should all have 0 XP. Humans for 1) Vamps for 2). Any clan and covenant is fine. Don't fill in equipment especially for 1) I'll have to make sure that makes sense for the settings.

If you aren't familiar with WOD or wont bring preprepared don't worry the system is straight forward and I think I can talk you through a character in less than 30 minutes.

*And lastly a note for anyone who doesn't prefer horror: Its my basic bent to have as wide a variety of games and systems as possible, so next month the game wont be Horror or WOD or White Wolf; If you have specific suggestions please come and share them.
