The Fox Valley Roleplayers March Meeting

Greetings one and all!

My apologies for not updating this earlier. Life gets hectic now and then and the 60 hour weeks at work are not allowing for much free time either.

The "special" for this month is a short intro to the world of GURPS. It will have pregen characters to save time but I will go into all the details on how to make a character. A 3-4 hour gaming session will follow through a dungeon sufficient to acquaint you all with the rules of combat, die system, and if you are unaware of its use..a hex map with figures. If you have a favorite I suggest bringing it along. For those that are already familiar with the GURPS system this will likely be entirely repeat for what you already know and follow a torturous pace since everyone else will be learning the system. However, we are looking for try and get someone to run a demo once a month for a system that they are familiar with. *Eyes up Cypress for a Vampire Demo* :)

If anyone has any suggestions of what we can do to perk up the meets just let me know.

I would like to get gamers of all types together for a general chat about all games new and old. One purpose here is to get together all of the people in the area that are actively looking to play but cannot find a group. Others include game discussion, hooking people up to trade books, and just about anything else that the people in attendance come up with. I should point out that this is for roleplayers and not for card games such as magic or any of the other dozen or so that have come out in recent years. If you love to hear dice hit the table then this is the place for you.
