All in the same email, even!
First of all: Thank you to all you who attended our inaugural PaizoCon 2008. I felt it went VERY well....OK....I thought it was an awesome showing, both on the attendees part AND the guests' part. My thanks to each and every one of you who came and showed your support for Paizo. And to those who took the extra pizza home, too. ;) Also, to all those who have recently joined the Meetup group: Welcome! And thanks for joining and showing such interest in future PaizoCons. We may have just wrapped up PaizoCon 2008, but work on next year's event is going to need to start much, MUCH earlier than what we did for this year's event. So, as a beginning, I have started a new poll on our Meetup page: PaizoCon II in 2009...are you in? This is an early start on seeing what kind of support we have for next year. Are we going to be bigger? How much bigger? Bigger as in,"Gee we are going to need three times the space to hold this again"? Please, old and new members alike, take a moment to vote in the poll, so that we can start the ball rolling for PaizoCon II. Thanks again, everyone! |

Hey Tim -
I am definitely in, and this year-out planning is exactly what I need! Being military, I have to have time to plan, so anything less than 6 months is pretty much going to be shot down by the powers that be. So wish I could have been there for this year's event, but I guess all my gusto will go to GenCon instead. That being said, to help with your Con planning, I will be flying in and will be adding one to your room reservations count. |

Thanks to the 35 members who have added their vote to the Poll. I now know that I can plan on at least having an event the size of this year's Paizocon.
Now....the other 54 of you...VOTE! I'm also very interested in starting my search for a venue. The LaQuinta Inn in Bellevue/Kirkland seemed to work out pretty well for us. If we stayed there, we'd likely get the larger Seahawks Room, if not all three rooms, for the whole weekend. Keep in mind, we are probably looking at Pathfinder Society organized play at PaizoCon II! That said, I'm fielding ideas/suggestions for other places to hold PaizoCon II in 2009. All you Seattle locals: You got any ideas? Any affordable hotels that offer up great deals on their conference rooms? |
