How to find us
"Once at the Beiaard, go up the stairs on the left, past the washrooms and up another small set of stairs. That's where you'll find the room we have reserved. The organizers will be wearing an orange fez, stetson and beret."

On the advice of one of our members, we're going to try out a new location. It's a bar, but we'll be using the upstairs floor and will have it all to ourselves. There are enough tables and chairs for everyone, there is no cross-traffic for the other customers, and there is no music playing on this floor.

The Beiaard

It seems ideal to us, so we're going to give it a shot. It will cost us 40 euro for the entire day (which we found reasonable), so we'll be taking donations to help cover this cost. If the relationship with the Beiaard works out, this cost may disappear by the next Meetup.

We're going to start a bit earlier this time, and we've got the following agenda:

14:00-14:30 - Arrive and put in items for the auction. Got any old gaming items that you don't want any more? Bring them in, and we'll take down your reserve price for them. At the end of the evening, we'll auction it all off, and you'll get the proceeds of your sale! Please be sure to have a firm reserve price in mind, and unsold items will be returned to you.

14:30-15:00 - Organization and door prizes. The groups will spit off to their tables, and the door prizes will be randomly chosen and handed out.

15:00-19:00 - The games. This time around, we have:

Manuel will run an all-player levels scenario in Heroquest.
Title: Blackoak raid
Number of players: 2 to 6
Game System and Setting: Heroquest - Glorantha
Level of Player Experience Needed: Any. This is a rules-light storytelling game.
Summary: It is a harsh winter on the Dragonpass and the Heortling clans of the region struggle with the invading empire and each other for food and wealth. What will you do when other clans threatened your wealth?

Nick will run a Dark Heresy scenario (Warhammer 40K RPG)
Title: Into the Depth
Recommended Number of Players: 3-5.
Game System and Setting: Dark Heresy.
Level of Player Experience Needed: Players of any level of experience are most welcome.
Summary: Dropship 'Screaching Hawk' is to land on the hive world Malfi in due course. In its metal womb it carries a group of acolytes serving under Daemonhunter Ahmazzi of Ordo Malleus. They are among the lowest ranking servants of great inquisitor, it is their first mission and they must try hard in order to make their harsh master pleased. In one of countless libraries of Prospectum Hive an ancient grimoire was found. Its contents made great inquisitor interested and intrigued, so he decided to send some acolytes to Malfi. Their task is easy ? retrieve the grimoire and bring it to Scintilla, but sometimes even the most heroic efforts of the most faithful warriors of the Golden Throne can make so simple missions nearly impossible to complete.

Maarten will run a beginner-player levels scenario in D&D.
Title: The Ariksford Heist
Recommended Number of Players: 3-6
Game System & Setting: D&D 3.5
Level of player experience needed:Beginner+
Summary: For two years now the county of Agarth has been experiencing raids by goblinoid races. To aid the count of Agarth with the protection of his people the count of Neir has been sending men, arms and supply caravans to its neighbouring county.
Sited near a ford in the Arik river between the Agarth and Neir, Ariksford is a frequent stop for such caravans. The increased trade brought by these allowed the once small hamlet to expand. A stockade surrounding the town was completed a mere two months ago and a bridge over the river is currently underway.
But other groups also noticed the new wealth. Groups more organised than band of goblins...
.

Dogra will run an intermediate-player-level memorial Gary Gygax scenario.
Title: The Lost caverns of Tsojcanth
Number of players: 2 to 6
Game System and Setting: Castles & Crusades
Level of Player Experience Needed: Intermediate. Experience with AD&D 1st or 2nd Ed. will be helpful.
Summary: A search for the fabled treasure of the arch-mage Iggwilv has brought you through a dangerous, uncharted mountain range, and deep into a set of hazardous caverns. You have met strange subterranean dwellers and have had to fight hideous fomorian giants and worse. After navigating an underground river, you finally found a safe place to rest. Upon waking the next day, you know that you are close to the ancient treasure trove, you can almost taste it.

19:00-20:00 - The auction. Looking for that odd piece to complete your gaming collection? Check out the auction, you never know what you'll find.

20:00-? - Ending the evening. General socialization and preparing for the next time.

Hi Maarteen, can you count me in for the D&D game? I do not have any character made so far, can we do it that day or are we supposed to bring our character done?
