Prizes! Door prizes for those who arrive at the start of the Meetup. There was roughly 15 euro left in the donation jar after the last Meetup which will be used for door prizes this time around.

Games! Of course there will be games being run. Our volunteer GMs have a variety of games planned, details below (as they are added). Please check the Message boards for what's going on, and to give your suggestions. Those who RSVP 'Yes' will have the first choice of games but a number of backup board and card games will be available to those who arrive mid-session or would otherwise prefer them.

Auction! Bring your unwanted gaming stuff for sale or look for that item to complete your collection. Please use the Poll section of the site to let us know if you want to have this auction happen.

Games:

GM: Ben & Tim
Games session: 1
Title: The Spiritfire - Speed Crawl
Recommended Number of Players: 2 groups of 3
Game System and Setting: D&D 3.5
Level of Player Experience Needed: intermediate
Summary: Long ago, the peoples of the world came across an artifact-like force that they named The Spiritfire. This inextinguishable flame seemed to contain a primal energy of such magnitude that it could even rip holes through the planes. Such power was coveted by many, but none were able to fully unlock it's secrets so it was hidden away and protected, and after generations it was all but forgotten. The only ones who remembered the Spiritfire were those who would suffer or profit were it to be once again uncovered.

As is the nature of such things, the Spiritfire has once again become violently uncovered.

GM: Petra
Games session: 2
Title: Savage Tales of the Omegan Resistance
Recommended Number of Players: 4 to 6
Game System and Setting: Savage Worlds/Necessary Evil
Level of Player Experience Needed: Any
Summary: When all the super heroes of the world are blown to kingdom come by an army of invading aliens who will save the day? Evil... The only forces left to take on the alien menace are the crafty and self serving super villains!

GM: Andy
Games session: Both
Title: Just a Simple Job
Recommended Number of Players: 4-5
Game System and Setting: Shadowrun 3rd Edition (Free rules here)
Level of Player Experience Needed: None. D6's needed.
Summary: The year is 2060. Magic is as real as the mean streets of the mega-sprawls. Corporations call the shots while nailing each other through covert operatives in cutthroat competition. Flesh and machines have merged -- the street samurai with his smartguns and impossibly fast reflexes, the decker who can plug his own brain into the worldwide computer network, the rigger who links his mind to his vehicle and takes hairpin turns at fantastic speeds. And you're a part of this wired world, where corporate skyscrapers glitter over the dark shadows they cast. You live in those shadows. You're a shadowrunner -- a street operative.

GM: Wouter
Games session: Flexible
Title: The Trouble with Franchise
Recommended Number of Players: 4
Game System and Setting: D&D 3.5
Level of Player Experience Needed: Any
Summary: Wizards and their schemings never cease. In this case, a prominent wizarding college has decided to set up a new branch of the school, and sent one of their senior staff off to get it started. Now they've lost contact with the daft old codger, and need some hardy types to track him down. Guess who gets the job?

Mediator: Ben and/or Tim
Games session: 2
Title: The Meetup Campaign - 1st meeting
Recommended Number of Players: Any
Game System and Setting: To be decided
Level of Player Experience Needed: To be decided
Summary: This will be a get-together of people who would be playing a regular, ongling campaign at each Meetup. This will give people the opportunity to get the benefits of a campaign such as character depth and advancement, while still having the ease of have someone else set up the time and place for you :-). This is only for people who feel they can commit to this kind of regular group.

put up a couple of photos, and also a nice picture of the cafe where it is hosted. Maybe it can make the place easier to find for new people (it is upstairs from the cafe - go past the toilets and into the upper back room)

Ok! As it is said in Brazil: who has a mouth, goes to Rome (to De Biaard, in that case)!

Pity we could not get the second session going, but next time that will be fixed!

I had a great time. A few new people and the regulars made for a good day.
    •  The Speed Crawl game was great! Had a really nice time playing it.
    •  Thanks everyone for fun. My impression was positive. At least not a bunch of smelly orcs :) @Saskia: Lets meet up also as game developers some day!
    •  Was a great afternoon/evening. Beeing DM again after so long was a pleasure.
    •  Having monthly campaign games for those that desire them and one off gaming sessions for others and new comers is a good idea. First meeting free but after that a minimum few euro charge for anyone that is not running their own game might be an idea, using any left over money to buy some small RPG prizes works well. The idea of having an auction of role-playing stuff no longer wanted is good, needs a few more people and has to be quickly and efficiently carried out so as to not take up to much time. Only criticisms are it started 45 minutes late and after the main games finished was unclear as to what, if anything, was going to happen next.
    •  It was my first meeting and I had a lot of fun and met many nice people, I will definitely come again. Thanks to our DM for the nice game.
