Welcome, Brisbane Sci Fi Geeks and Gamers (sic)!

I'm interested in getting a game going with a sci-fi, post apocalypse or superhero theme, or joining an existing similar game.

I've recently got the D20 Star Wars Saga edition which is rumored to be d&d 4th edition and think it's quite smooth, and easily tailored to any setting. I like that once you've put the work in there doesn't seem to be too much mechanics to interfere with the flow of the game. I'm definitely into Role-playing rather that roll-playing, but I like a bit of action as well.

Would prefer to meet interested gamers/GMs outside of a gaming context first to get to know each other a bit before we commit to sharing our inner alter-egos with each other. Perhaps if there are enough people interested in a meetup we could do an afternoon or evening in a pub or something. I would prefer to game once every two weeks, and am capable of hosting a game of that frequency for about five people, including GM at my place in Tugun, which is just south of Burleigh.

Thanks to the Brissy members, I will probably return in a few months when my contract ends.
