About The Baton Rouge Roleplayers Meetup

Well, it's been a long time coming. Hubby and I attend a gaming convention every year in Ohio, Origins Gaming Con. (see http://addicted_2_RPG... for more details) We are always upset when we come home, because we can never find gamers who are into the same games as we are back here in Baton Rouge. We have so much fun at the con, and are always bummed upon returning. We joined Meetup.com a couple of years ago, hoping someone would create an RPG meetup to play something other than D&D. No luck.

So, we finally figured it may be the time to be pro-active and create a Meetup of our own. Hopefully, things go well. Even if we meet just 3-5 people who enjoy the same type of roleplay heavy, character driven stories as we do, that would be great. I mean, SOMEONE besides us is buying these game books from Little Wars, right?! Right?!

It is our hope that the meeting we have in April will be successful, and draw some of us 'alternative' gamers out of the woodwork. If people attend and participate, I know we can make this a great experience. Can't wait to see you all there!
