Have an old card game that you love but no one to play with?
Wish you could dig out that awesome board game you bought at a convention, but never have enough people to play?
Well, Amy and I had discussed having an informal card/board game get together this Saturday coming up. I told her that I may not be able to make it, but she said to go ahead and set the meetup, and she would be there if I couldn't.
I would say that everyone should bring whatever their favorite card/board game would be, and the meetup will be a casual gathering where those games can be played.
Our last meeting at Coffee Call was great, and we had a big table and fairly little noise/distraction. Sure, there are people talking quietly around you while they sip on coffee, eat beignets, use their laptops, and study for school, but nothing overly noisy.
If I can make it, I will bring the Munchkin Cthulhu card game. If I can not, it would be cool if someone else could bring Munchkin, or some other such game, like Lunch Money, etc.
Amy was very gung-ho on setting this Meetup so that our group could have another chance to come together and hang out. I hope to be there, but due to my daughter being back in town, I may have other engagements. If no one brings any games, at the very least it will be a lot like the last meetup, where everyone comes together just to talk gaming, hobbies, and like interests.
*** Amy, be prepared to do a little make-shift sign to place on the table with the letters "B.R.R.M" (Baton Rouge Roleplayers Meetup), just in case I am not there, but new people show up who don't know you. :)
Happy Gaming, everyone!!!
