RE: [roleplayers-71] D20 Modern Campaign needs players.

Hey Dan and all,

I'd love to get in on this, depending on the schedule. My work schedule tends to vacilate quite a bit, but I'm usually free on Sunday's (except for tech/show weeks) and often on Saturday nights. I've been RPing for quite a few years now and have a very broad base of games behind me (D&D, Earthdawn, Shadowrun, Rifts, Paranoia, Garou) and have run a number of games myself. I tend to keep things loose so the "no rule lawyers" was a big draw for me as well as the game premise.

Keep me posted, please.

Rob

Dan, I'm very interested. How big a group are you looking at having? And how much would you like us to know about D20 when we show up? I've done virtually everything, but the only D20 stuff I've even looked at was Spycraft. Never did find a campaign, either... Were you wanting to make the first session intro/char design or have a character design framework built beforehand? Are you looking for any specific types of backgrounds? Any holes in the character archetypes you need filled?

Haven't had a chance to fill out a bio on Meetup, so really quickly: I've been a RP since the assassin was the hot new thing in AD&D. I've done AD&D, Champions, Gurps, White Wolf, Cyberpunk..you get the idea. I'm in it for the roleplaying; I will die in-character gracefully.

Looking forward to meeting some new gamers. Thanks.

Let me know if you can make it.

I'm interested, but may not be available for the next two weekends.  When would you be looking to start?

The game setting is Seattle 1999 (ish). The players all start as norm's (no magic / just normal background skill and the like, this will change fast trust me) as the game goes on they are introduced in to a world of magic, monsters and powers that has been all the time but never seen by there. The running joke right now is the players have found out that Bill Gates is a Dragon. The players can start as any basic class that they want and add classes as we go. The players must have 4 levels in a base class before they can pick up an advance class. This is flexible and role-play wins. If you can role-play into something ... most times I will let it. But I will veto things if it over powers the game or delay it if it over powers the players at this level. The house rules we will have to sit down and go over.

I have taken some things from pop culture / TV horrors, like the Frog Brothers.  But for the most part. It is Seattle in 1999. There are some tech stuff that we did not have in 1999. There is a lot of player info that would be too much for this forum.

The game will be at my place in Marysville. I have 2 cats. I hope that is not a problem.

I will add more when I have a chance. the whole work thing...

Dan

Hello,

I'm definitely interested. I'm a fairly experienced gamer who prefers story-driven, player-interaction, roleplaying-oriented games, and I enjoy modern settings. I haven't done any in the d20 system recently; GURPS, Shadowrun, Traveller, and a few others have generally be the source for my modern play. However, I did get some alternity in years ago, and do think the d20 is perfectly applicable for modern. So all in all, yes very interested.

Where's the game and when do you typically play?

Thanks,
George

Looking for a few new players for a long term campaign. I will be running a D20 Modern game with a some house rules added in. This is a Low magic campaign with a focus on roleplay and player co-op. - No Regular schedule - TBD by player base. This is a LONG term game. We have just started a new campaign and need players to feel in the ranks.

If you are looking for a long term game, with and established DM and gaming group this might be the place for you. We are looking for an Adult player. Responsible players only please. No Rule Lawyers please.
